Launched in Late 2020, Short is Googles Answer to Instagram Reels & TikTok; you’ve seen it, thought about it but what are the Top Trends which will make your brand successful on the platform?

Before we get into that lets look at the platform itself. YouTube itself accounts for nearly 25% of all mobile traffic Worldwide. With an audience like that it only makes sense to leverage them into a shorter form product, as viewing habits change due to TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Great, but why is it important to me? Well, as currency, a single YouTube subscriber is worth 25 on TikTok. YouTube are increasing emphasis on Shorts through increased exposure; creators are seeing increases in subscribers and YouTube is seeing an increase in adoption with 172% growth of the product 2021-2022. With all this success Google are set to monetize the product by turning on ad spend during 2023.
